[F]ifteen active hams from eight Amateur Radio clubs in Western Pennsylvania took part in a Leadership Workshop in Indiana on Saturday, August 22. Participants enjoyed a number of presentations on a wide range of topics related to leading their local ham radio clubs more effectively.
Topics ranged from Non-Profit organization law and Small Games of Chance fundraising information, to ideas for making meetings more interesting, and how to motivate members through public service and ham radio activities. An update on changes to the Child Protective Services Law and the impact on local Amateur Radio Clubs was presented. Time was also provided for group discussions and sharing “Ideas That Work,” allowing participants to tell success stories from their clubs’ experiences at providing better service to their members.
